Walk and Talk!

I would like to thank all parents, teachers, and voters in TA5 precincts for taking the time to talk to me during my walks. Many of you have voiced your concerns and hopes for change. The "big 4" priorities and issues people have (not in any particular order):

- Safety on and around campus for students, parents, teachers and administrators
- Expansion of tech/trade and vocational education in partnership with local businesses such that our children graduate with marketable employment skills
- Special Needs Education communication between the district, parents, teacher and students
- Parental involvement in a traditional and non-traditional sense in partnership with their children's teachers and school to improve the cultural environment.

These 4 are by no means the only issues we as a district face but rather those that are the "voice-of-the-people" I have spoken with. I'll post my thoughts on each of these of the next few days. Again, thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules, and I appreciate your vote on November 8!
